Becoming a therapist is not a linear journey.
IT’S A CALLING THAT ASKS SOMETHING RARE OF YOU: to look inward and outward, at the same time.
It’s one of the only professions where your inner world, your history, and your patterns become part of the work. You learn theory, ethics, and technique, while also cultivating a deeper understanding of self.
And all of this takes place while you’re preparing to sit with people in their most vulnerable, grief-filled, confusing, and defining moments.
No wonder it feels overwhelming!

We created this space because we know what that feels like.
Students and early therapists are expected to hold so much.
The mix of excitement and doubt.
The pressure to be “good enough” before you’ve even met your first client.
The anxiety leading up to and lingering long after that first session.
The imposter syndrome that flares when you hear another student ask a brilliant question or when you leave a class still unsure what “interventions” even are.
The weight of making decisions about practicums, specializations, supervisors, licensure requirements, and your future identity as a therapist… all while doing your own healing work in preparation to hold space for others.
Grad school teaches you the foundations, the language, the frameworks…
But nothing replaces the quiet wisdom of a therapist who has walked the path before you, someone who can offer real talk, context, nuance, and simple but grounding reassurance.
You’re not behind. Anxiety is a common part of the process. You can do this. You’re going to be okay.
That’s why Covare exists.

We’re here for all the moments, the good AND the challenging!
We built Covare for the person who wants to become a therapist but is scared of not being “emotionally ready.” For the student who looks around the classroom and wonders if everyone else somehow knows something they don’t. For the brand new therapist who feels intimidated walking into their first practicum site. For the graduates who are trying to understand what kind of therapist they want to be, not just the theories they’ve memorized.
We’re here for the moments when you think:
-
“How do I find my voice as a therapist?”
-
“How do I make sense of all these Board requirements?”
-
“Anything BBS-related feels so overwhelming!”
-
“What if I say the wrong thing in session?”
-
“What specialty is right for me?”
-
“What if I’m not cut out for this?”

Covare was created to be the support we wished we had.
A place where the journey feels less lonely, less confusing, and more human.
We believe that becoming a therapist is a transformation, and you deserve guidance, context, and community as you grow into the clinician you’re becoming. We hold you while you’re hatching.
At Covare, you don’t need to be the “perfect” student, trainee, or human. If you are willing to keep going, to stay curious, to stay present, and to let yourself be shaped by this work, we’re here to walk with you, step by step. We’ve walked this path. We get it. You’re not alone.
Welcome to Covare for Therapists. You belong here.
