Meet the Founders

Chiara Borghetti

Chiara’s journey began in Southern California, where lively family dinners taught her that food, culture, and human connection belong at the same table. Raised in her family’s Los Angeles restaurants, she learned early how to listen for people’s stories and complexities.

After earning her B.A. from UC Santa Cruz, Chiara explored journalism, advocacy, and nonprofit mental-health work before moving to New York to hone her event-management skills with Blue Hill at Stone Barns and Snapchat. But the pull toward direct service led her back to Los Angeles, where she completed her M.A. in Clinical Psychology at Antioch University and became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 2025.

Chiara specializes in Person-Centered Therapy for individuals and families navigating OCD, depression, and other mood-related challenges. She blends CBT, IFS, Narrative Therapy, and somatic techniques, integrating nutrition-informed practices to support the gut–brain connection and emotional resilience.

Outside the office, Chiara enjoys exploring new restaurants, weekend getaways with her partner, time in nature, and cozy evenings with her rescue pup, Tilly.

Alongside colleague and friend Chloe, she co-founded Covare to ease the confusing path from graduate school to licensure. Covare offers practical tools, step-by-step guidance, and a supportive community—so new therapists can focus on finding their voice, not fighting red tape.

Chloé Cavelier

Chloé grew up in a small suburb of Los Angeles, where small-town rhythms and early life challenges shaped her path. Therapy was a lifeline during her teen years, helping her survive adversity and discover the healing power of connection. The support she received inspired her to one day create that same space for others.

She earned her B.A. in Communication with a Business minor from the University of Arizona, then spent years in the nonprofit sector wearing many hats — from fundraising and event coordination to volunteer management and board liaison work. Later, she built her own consulting business, supporting small businesses and startups with marketing and design. But when a friend mentioned starting a master’s program in 2020, Chloé felt a gut pull she couldn’t ignore. Within weeks, she enrolled at Touro University and began the training that would forever change her life.

Now a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Chloé specializes in trauma recovery, attachment, and couples work in her Pasadena-based private practice. She integrates parts-based approaches (IFS and ego state therapy), Emotionally Focused Therapy, and EMDR, always centering the present, lived experience in the room. Her style is warm, authentic, and experiential — helping clients reconnect to themselves and their relationships in deeper, more embodied ways.

Beyond the office, Chloé is musical and visually creative, often found collaging in her art journal, writing, or enjoying a simple bread-and-cheese moment.

Chloé co-founded Covare out of her own struggles as a trainee and associate — navigating financial strain, imposter fears, and the weight of responsibility. She hopes Covare feels like a breath of release for emerging therapists: a reminder that they are not alone, that their struggles are normal, and that growth is always possible with support.
